The MC2 replacement filter cartridge uses Everpure Micro-Pure II filtration technology which effectively inhibits the growth of bacteria on the filter media which can decrease product life. The MC2 also improves the taste of fountain beverages and helps to retain the drink's carbonation. This System has been Tested & Certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standards, 53 certified to reduce cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia by mechanical means. Contaminant Reduction: This filter cartridge uses an exclusive submicron precoat filtration which removes particles, such as asbestos and giardia cysts, as small as half a micron in size. It also improves the flavors of beverages by reducing bad taste and odor causing contaminants, such as chlorine. Protects drink system seals, pump, tubing and small orifices from clogging, corrosion and abrasive wear. Removes any remnants of foreign particles in the water including dust, dirt, soil particles and sand sediment. Removes chlorine, inhibits bacteria growth, removes sediment extant and Trihalomethanes (THM’s) and also focuses on removing lead, copper, chloroform, chemical residuals, herbicides, pesticides and other volatile organic compounds.
